The purpose of the Drive chain is to transmit power from the engine to the rear wheel. This is done by the Front Sprocket coupled to the engine shaft and through a drive chain, power is transmitted to the Rear sprocket which is attached to the rear wheel. The Front Sprocket, the Drive Chain and the Rear Sprocket combined is the Rear Wheel Drive System.
