Greenbelt
- LGB recognizes the significance of biodiversity as a crucial asset for our growth and development.
- We are dedicated to preserving biodiversity and implementing sustainable business practices that do not harm any species within the ecosystem.
- We have established a greenbelt covering 25-30% of the total area in each factory.
- The greenbelt has been created using native Indian tree species, and landscaping has been carried out to enhance the visual appeal.
- Trees such as Neem, Gulmohar, Jamun, Mango, Tamarind, and Coconut are cultivated.
- These greenbelt are designed to mitigate noise and particulate emissions.

Green Energy
- LGB embarked on its Decarbonization journey by utilizing Green Power for manufacturing since 1994.
- Our Management Vision focuses on leveraging Renewable Energy for Manufacturing Operations to achieve Net Zero by 2070, in line with India’s decarbonization Plan.
- LGB initiated this journey by establishing Wind Mills and has recently added Solar Plants.
- In Phase 1, 22 windmills were set up between 1994 and 2010, generating green energy of 7.1 MW.
- Phase 2 involves the commissioning of Solar Plants from 2016 to 2024, which will provide an additional 3 MW.
- Phase 3 is currently underway, featuring onsite rooftop solar power plants of at least 0.8 MW across all expanding facilities.
- Additionally, offsite solar plants have been launched in various regions of Tamil Nadu to further enhance decarbonization efforts.

Water Management
- LGB demonstrates its commitment to Environmental Responsibility by implementing ISO 14001:2015 at its manufacturing units.
- LGB has a good management practises to optimize specific water consumption at industrial premises.
- Ensuring water quality at point of drinking and sanitation without any detrimental effect.
- Implemented and maintaining Rainwater harvesting structure to recharge ground water table.
- Implemented Zero Liquid Discharge in Treatment plants to treat wastewater and reuse within the plant.
- Continues implementation of Kaizens, EOHS objectives to reduce and reuse the water consumption and recycling respectively.

Waste Mangement
- LGB demonstrates its commitment to Environmental Responsibility by implementing ISO 14001:2015 at its manufacturing units.
- We have established clear OPCs to manage the waste produced from our activities.
- Our employees and workers are trained on the characteristics, categorization, and disposal methods for various types of waste.
- We monitor waste generation from processes and other uses on a daily basis.
- Waste produced from processes are properly collected, sorted using a 3-bin system, stored temporarily in a designated waste storage facility and disposed scientifically.
- We substitute less hazardous materials and chemicals in our manufacturing processes.
- We are in transition phase from Packaging Plastic to Plastic trays for maximum reuse.
- The waste from our operations are either recycled or disposed through Co-processing Industries.
